A parent who campaigned against the closure of Flynn primary school is standing for the Community Alliance Party in the seat of Ginninderra. ... Mr Nicoll said he was not a single-issue candidate, saying he had lived in Belconnen for 40 years and was a champion of the area.

As chairman of the West Belconnen Health Cooperative, he was trying to attract bulk-billing doctors and allied health and well-being services to the area. He was active in family issues and sport.
