The Community Alliance Party has not done any backroom deals, and will not be doing any deals with other parties contesting the ACT election. Norvan Vogt, Community Alliance Party candidate for Molonglo said today: "This party is not about to recommend to voters how to allocate their preferences in the ACT election. We will not be producing any how-to-vote cards for election day. We feel that it is a decision which should be left to the voter, free from interference or coercion." "The Community Alliance is a new party, founded on new principles of grass roots government and delivering for the community. We're not interested in playing political games by doing preference deals with other parties." said Mr Vogt. All voters should feel free to decide their vote in whatever way they want. "This party stands for stable, accountable government and good, practical policy. We have not formed any political alliances. Our only aim is to represent the ACT communities which have been so hard done by during the reign of the irresponsible and unaccountable majority Stanhope Labor Government." The Community Alliance will decide how to best work within government based upon the makeup of the future assembly. Mr Vogt: "Unlike other parties, we are not and will not be in a position where we are bound by deals done prior to the election. Several parties contesting the election have approached us about preference deals on how-to-vote cards, but we have refused them all." Contact Norvan Vogt
