The Community Alliance Party will hold their formal policy launch today at Havelock House. As part of the launch, Community Alliance candidates will sign a Community Contract.

"The Community Contract contains 13 key points in the party's policy which Canberra communities have told us are of high importance to them. They are the minimum demands which we commit to, although we recognise that there are many more as a result of neglect by the current government," said James Sizer, Community Alliance candidate for Brindabella.

"By signing this document, we are holding ourselves to account in the eyes of all the people we have met in the course of campaigning. Delivering these basic community needs are the reason this party was formed," said Jane Tullis, Community Alliance candidate for Ginninderra.

"This party is different, and represents a real alternative for the people of Canberra. Our policies are good sense and good value. They contain the 'elusive obvious' and are developed on the basis of what works, according to people we have listened to in the Canberra community. We are not interested in playing political games, only in delivering for the people of the ACT," said Norvan Vogt, Community Alliance candidate for Molonglo.

The Community Contract represents a formal commitment by all the candidates of the Community Alliance Party to deliver key promises for the voters of the ACT. A hard-copy of the signed contract will be available for all who want one, and it will be published on the party website.

An unsigned copy of the contract is attached.
