The beauty of the Alliance is that it has arisen in the community and it is made up of community minded people from all walks of life.  The Alliance is a party made up of people just like you, not an exclusive club who want to impose their own ideals.

There are a number of practical ways in which you can support the Alliance, which include:

Join the Alliance

You can make a difference and show your support just by joining the Alliance. Already hundreds of residents, including people from all walks of life, have joined the Alliance with the common aim of improving life in the ACT, reducing costs and achieving better governance. Click on "Join the CAP" in the menu to be taken to our membership area.

Helping Candidates

One of the main ways you can support the Alliance is to help candidates in the lead up to the election and when voting on Election Day.  Candidates will need volunteers to help hand out flyers and canvas voters at shopping centres or other public places.  There are many ways in which you can help a candidate in your local community.

Communication

As a new party the Alliance needs to spread the word quickly, you can help with this by distributing information or introducing the candidates to people in your community.  Would your community group benefit from inviting your local Alliance candidates to your next meeting?  What ideas do you have to help inform others about the Alliance?

Fundraising

Financial support is also required; the Alliance has not had the benefit of the last three years to financially prepare for an election.  So there is a requirement for fundraising either through direct financial donations or fundraising activities. 

Even if you can not devote time or energy to assist the Alliance you can make a financial donation.  How much is achieving better governance and reducing future costs worth to you?  To make a donation please contact either your local candidate or CLOAKING

Policy Development

The Alliance is developing policies to best serve the needs of the ACT community; this can best be done when the community is able to contribute.  Would you like to participate in a working group on a policy area in which you have an interest or expertise?

Specialised Assistance

Do you have a special skill or ability which you are willing to provide to help the alliance?  Can you or your business donate printing services, or promotional material, do you provide professional services which might either be of benefit to the Alliance or could be auctioned off to help raise funds.
