Elections ACT

Elections ACT is an independent statutory authority responsible for conducting elections and referendums for the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly. Our mission is to provide the ACT community with high quality electoral services that ensure fair and open elections and referendums.

What's new at Elections ACT?

Christmas - New Year opening hours

The Elections ACT office will be closed from 12 noon Wednesday 24 December 2008 and will re-open on Monday 5 January 2009.

Apparent failure to vote notices

The non-voter process for the 2008 ACT Legislative Assembly has commenced.

If you have received a letter regarding your apparent failure to vote, and believe you have a valid reason for not voting or you did in fact vote, provide all the necessary information to Elections ACT by completing the back of the letter and returning the letter in the supplied reply paid envelope. If you did not vote and wish to pay the fine, you can do so on the Canberra Connect website.
